Visual Design - Session 4 - Texture Map Deconstruction

Finished Texture

We were supplied with a model of a woman rendered with a zombie walk. Our task was to edit the texture map to turn her into a zombie.

I altered the jacket adding a floral pattern to it and manipulated the colours until I was happy. I then set about adding images over the face and neck to give a more zombie like feel and darkening the hair. I took the jaw off of the model and used images of beef to hint at exposed muscle. The hardest part was adding the blood to the fabric of the jacket and matching the colours to blend in with the other blood texture on the skin. I am fairly happy with how it turned out but it is a shame that the animation was prerendered as I couldn't work out how to take the jaw off for the entirety of the walk.
